Annual workload of 168 working days

As captain of our sea towage service, you are responsible for the overall safety and maintenance of the vessel, as well as leading the crew. You will oversee certificates and handle the ship's administration. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with safety procedures and represent the organisation to clients and stakeholders. You will work closely with a small team of 6 crew members, including Dutch speaking officers. We are looking for a reliable leader who can motivate the crew and manage them effectively.

  • Experience as a Captain on a tugboat is an advantage.
  • You are resourceful, flexible, well organised and have a hands-on mentality.
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English, written and spoken.

Do you not (yet) meet all the requirements, but have a strong interest in tug operations? We also offer the opportunity to learn the trade through a training programme as a Captain. This programme combines on-the-job training, where you first carry out work under the supervision of experienced colleagues, with additional practice using a simulator.
