In this role, you will support the execution of our operations, carrying out your duties accurately and in accordance with procedures. As an Able Seaman on one of our salvage vessels, you will play an important role in the team during challenging projects. You will share responsibility for maintenance on board the ship and assist with a variety of tasks, from towing operations to large dredging projects.

You will work closely with a small, close-knit team, including a Dutch-speaking Captain and Chief Officer. Depending on the vessel, a Dutch-speaking engineer may also be onboard. The current rotation is 2 weeks on/off, with the sailing area determined by the project. 

Your profile

  • You hold at least an STCW 2010 Certificate of Competency as Rating Deck or higher, valid STCW certificates, a medical examination and a valid seaman's book.
  • On this type of vessel, it is important to have a hands-on approach, be solution oriented and enjoy working closely with others in a variety of maritime conditions.
  • You are eager to learn, adventurous and capable of handling tasks independently.
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
