As captain of our harbour towage service, you are responsible for the overall safety and maintenance of the ship and for managing the crew. You will manage certificates and handle the ship's administration. In addition, you supervise compliance with safety procedures and represent the organisation to clients and stakeholders. The current sailing and leave rotation in the sea towage service is 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off.

You will work closely with a small team of 3 crew, including Dutch officers. We are looking for a reliable leader who can motivate and manage the crew effectively.

Your profile

You hold at least an STCW 2010 Certificate of Competency as Master <3000 GT, along with valid STCW certificates.Experience as a Captain on a tug is an advantage.
You are resourceful, flexible, highly organised and have a hands-on mentality.
You are fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
Do you not (yet) meet all the requirements, but have a strong interest in tug operations? We also offer the opportunity to learn the trade through a training programme as a Captain. This programme combines on-the-job training, where you first carry out work under the supervision of experienced colleagues, with additional practice using a simulator.
